And that's one week of my life I'll never see again. This bloody game is far too addictive. My first real attempt at building a proper base in Minecraft as opposed to a simple cabin. It was first planned out on a grid - Furnishing the place was a challenge since Minecraft doesn't have any furnishings except for boxes and bookshelves - Designs for the chairs, TV, and bedroom cabinets were inspired by other people's creations, so I can't take credit for them. I also had no idea what to put in the centre of the ground floor until today. All 4 corner towers are identical, just mirrored. Early WIP screenshots can be seen at: www.oddworldforums.net And yes, that is a Commander Keen skin.

My '07 Volvo 780
My '07 Volvo 780 Tube. Duration : 2.33 Mins.
This is the Volvo I had for a very short time, one run to be exact. It had some serious damage to the top of the sleeper I hadn't noticed until I ran into rain!! USX isn't getting any more Volvos unfortunately, they truly do have more room and driver comforts than the Petes and Freightliners. These Volvos had a 77" deep sleeper compared to the standard 60" on the aforementioned two and cabinets galore. Although I did use the top bunk for sleeping and left the table set up all the time, it was really hard to make your bed standing on the ladder; especially when changing your sheets and blanket. Also, I did miss all the under bunk storage I have in my Freightliner, (There are small storage spaces under each booth seat.) Each truck I've been in has unique likes and dislikes, it would be neat to take all the good attributes form each truck and create an entirely new truck....what would it be called?

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I showed up, whether it would be the full band, or just Avi acoustic (all the music and words are his, but it isn't your typical singer-songwriter fare). What I got wasn't really either. It was at his parents' house, nestled somewhere in a quiet and invisible patch of suburban Long Beach. Maybe more unassuming than the home itself was Avi; shaved head, all smiles, wearing a bright blue long sleeve UCLA shirt and torn black jeans. He said he'd thought he might play a few songs with his electric through an amp, and maybe do one acoustic song. I have to admit I was a bit incredulous at how this would work with just him, but that was proven wrong the moment he started. Avi's music has a sort of magnetism to it that keeps pulling you further in. The careful imagery, delivery and intricate musicianship that, even with just his guitar and voice, is layered with such depth that it begs for further listening. When the fireworks at the beginning of this cutscene are over, grab everything you can from the periphery of the room; there's 5000 pesetas behind the portrait of Lord Saddler on the wall, if you check it. Ashley's here, finally, but she'll need a bit of help to get free of her restraints. In order to pop her out, you'll have to shoot them off. This is obviously easiest if you have a rifle, but if you don't, you'll have to use a pistol. Very, very gently. Aim off to the side, obviously enough, as a single bullet is all it takes to kill her. After Ashley's free, you'll have to contend with two waves of enemies. The first is a simple bout of three cultists; shoot them down from your perch before they can haul off Ashley. The second includes a near-infinite flow of cultists, a pair of crossbowmen, and a red-robed leader with a key around his chest. You'll need to prevent the cultists from hauling off Ashley, protect yourself from the crossbowmen, and kill the red cultist so that Ashley can get his key. When the fireworks at the beginning of this cutscene are over, grab everything you can from the periphery of the room; there's 5000 pesetas behind the portrait of Lord Saddler on the wall, if you check it. Ashley's here, finally, but she'll need a bit of help to get free of her restraints. In order to pop her out, you'll have to shoot them off. This is obviously easiest if you have a rifle, but if you don't, you'll have to use a pistol. Very, very gently. Aim off to the side, obviously enough, as a single bullet is all it takes to kill her. After Ashley's free, you'll have to contend with two waves of enemies. The first is a simple bout of three cultists; shoot them down from your perch before they can haul off Ashley. The second includes a near-infinite flow of cultists, a pair of crossbowmen, and a red-robed leader with a key around his chest. You'll need to prevent the cultists from hauling off Ashley, protect yourself from the crossbowmen, and kill the red cultist so that Ashley can get his key. Here I show how,with only a small amount of gear and a few small changes in setup you can create several different guitar sounds. I'm playing a 1987 Fender American Standard Stratocaster with stock pickups through a 1967 Fender Bassman with a 2x12 cabinet. The first setup is using a Sennheiser e609, a flat profile dynamic designed for close micing of cabinets, toms and horns. The first example is on the center of the speaker cone. The second is on the edge of the speaker at the surround. Next up is the Blue Ball, a phantom powered dynamic, a great mic for so many applications. Again, the first example is on center, the second on edge. Following that is the MXL 990, a large diaphragm condenser mic. It's spaced about three feet away, just slightly off of perpendicular. Then we start the combinations. First the Sennheiser and the MXL, then the Blue and the MXL. Each one has a first on center, then on edge example. To finish, we have the panned examples. These are the only sound examples with any manipulation at all, just the panning of the mics 80% left and right. That gives eleven different tonal possibilities with only three mics and no changes on the guitar or amp. It just goes to show how many different approaches there are to mic choice and placement.

Louder than a jumbo jet in take-off, the technical know-how for the JUKE Box comes from sound experts Martin Audio, who designed and built the current system in The Box - the main room at our London home. Building on the Ministry of Sound ethos of 'creating the moments people live for', together with Nissan we turned to Martin Audio to create a 150 decibel, 18900W sound system, which is completely self-sufficient in terms of power and production. I've been waiting for a long time for someone to sub this in English, but since I can't find anyone doing it, I might as well sub it myself. Bob Schmidt shows you how and why to lay-out a wall during construction to a standard 16 inch on center lay-out. When laying out a top and bottom plate for a typical wall a framing square is usually the most appropriate tool. To begin, flush up top & bottom plate ends, hook tape on flush ends. The first measurement is 15 1/4 inches to side of first stud placement. Each corresponding measurement should be 3/4 of an inch shy of stud marks on typical tape measure. This will give you studs that are on 16 inch center layouts. Sixteen inch center layouts are important for several reasons: many building materials are designed to fit in a 16 inch layout, ie. insulation, medicine cabinets some tile backing inserts & ironing board inserts; when installing cabinets or trim ie. crown, baseboard, these materials need to be attached to framing. If you stay true to 16 inch centers, all you really need to do in a wall is find the first stud and the rest of the studs in the wall are always multiples of 16 inches away. Another consideration when framing a wall is to match the existing structure as far as floor joist layouts, so as to allow space to run heat ducts, plumbing pipes, wiring to electrical panels, without having wall studs in the way and saving you time and money.
